Clear answers about the current NestHome system

These answers describe the implemented web application and its supported household finance workflows. Updated August 6, 2026.

What is NestHome?

NestHome is a household finance web application for recording expenses, income, loans, categories, currencies, and shared family activity.

How do family workspaces work?

A household owner can create a family workspace and invite members. Owner, Administrator, Member, and Viewer roles determine which shared actions each member can perform.

Can I manage different currencies?

Yes. Users can configure currency codes and choose a default for a personal or family scope. NestHome does not claim automatic live exchange-rate conversion.

Can the connected mobile application still use the APIs?

Yes. The public API route structure is preserved. A native mobile client can continue using the configured expense.zactra.com deployment, while the browser application uses the same secured backend routes.

Are personal financial records cached for offline use?

No. Authenticated financial API responses and uploaded user files are configured as private and no-store. The service worker caches only approved public assets and an offline information page.

How do I export my data?

NestHome provides CSV reports and a JSON account export. Exported files should be stored securely because they can contain private financial information.

Can I track money borrowed or lent?

Yes. Loan records can include the type, person, amount, currency, loan date, due date, remaining balance, status, and notes.

How can I delete a test transaction?

Open the Transactions, Income, or Expenses view and use the visible edit, archive, or delete action beside the record. A confirmation step protects against accidental deletion.

How can I delete my account?

Sign in, open the Delete Account page, enter the matching account email and current password, and type DELETE to confirm the permanent action.
